Brian Zalk and Peter Zarcades lead MNG on its relationship-focused growth strategy

Brian Malk Founding Partner

Involved in real estate finance since 1967, Brian was the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Midtown Property Trust, the company that would later merge to become MNG. With more than 35 years of in-the-trenches real estate finance and development experience, much of the success of The Midtown Niki Group and the people we're in league with is directly attributable to his vision, expertise and hands-on involvement.

Peter Zarcades Founding Partner

As the original founder and Chief Executive Officer of Niki Developments, Inc., the property development company that would later merge to become MNG, Peter has over 25 years experience in developing custom real estate and financial solutions for a wide range of clients. His personal commitment and passion for finding the right solution is the driving force behind MNG's do-whatever-it-takes philosophy.

Raymond Hedrick President

Raymond heads The Midtown Niki Capital Partners division, the group responsible for MNG's investments in real estate development projects. His personal attention to relationships and his significant background in the industry has enabled us to work with some of the most highly regarded developers in the business. Raymond honed his real estate and capital expertise at Colony Advisors and established Hanover Property Co., the joint venture investment arm of Marcus & Millichap.

Cheri Phinney CFO/CAO

Cheri Phinney, our Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Officer, rejoined us at the end of 1999. Ms. Phinney worked as our controller during her first term with us, and was responsible for introducing and installing our reporting and accounting systems. Ms. Phinney is a California CPA with diverse real estate accounting experience that she obtained as an audit manager and an assistant director of national real estate training for Kenneth Leventhal & Company and Ernst & Young LLC.

David Trakman CEO and Partner

David joined MNG in 2000 and in his current capacity as CEO oversees and manages all matters in connection with our single tenant portfolio and joint ventures. David’s background and tireless detailed involvement in all aspects of MNG’s transactions ensure mutually successful closings. Prior to joining MNG, David gained experience in commercial transactions through a private law firm following completion of his legal and commercial degrees.

Andrew Malk Director of Real Estate Acquisitions

As Director of Real Estate Acquisitions, Andrew oversees MNG's acquisition of net-leased properties and works closely with the team to manage the existing portfolio. With formal business training and years of investment experience, Andrew enhances MNG's ability to source, underwrite and negotiate terms for net-leased acquisitions. Andrew's expertise and focus on our net-leased portfolio is key to satisfying MNG's appetite for these properties and to providing creative and competitive financial solutions to our valued tenants.

Genevieve Hedrick Director of Real Estate Operations

Genevieve Hedrick joined us in 2005. As our Director of Real Estate Operations, Gena oversees all aspects of both acquisitions and sales transactions within our single tenant portfolio. Her attention to detail and transactional knowledge ensures a professional approach while upholding our market reputation.
